General Questions

We have a café and fully licenced bar in the visitors centre. There is no BYO food or Beveridge’s permitted onsite. The café sells a selection of hot & cold food & beverages. The café is open on weekends, school holidays and public holidays.

Food should not be brought into the Park. There is a selection of hot & cold food available to purchase including vegetarian options. Soft drink, water, fruit juices, coffee and alcohol can be purchased at our café also. Commercial drinks, alcohol and glassware is strictly prohibited from being brought into the Park. Drinking fountains are located in all other areas of the Park.

BBQ’s are available to hire for $25. BYO utensils – Please call to check availability & book. BBQ bookings are for 1 Hour

Activities at the park include Cable wakeboarding & knee-boarding. The Aqua Fun Park – giant inflatable course on water. Climb Melbourne, an urban high-rope adventure.

There is no charge for spectators accompanying paying guests. All guests will be required to sign a waiver on entry.

Tickets can be bought online – bookings recommended. Gift vouchers are available online and at the park.

We cater for all kinds of groups and events. A group discount applies for 20 or more people doing the same activity. Please contact our team for a quote.

We can arrange private hire of one or more areas of the park. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Everyone using the park is expected to be reasonably fit. You must be able to swim to take part in our water-based activities.

Pregnant women will not be permitted to take part in our activities. If you have a medical condition, please consult your doctor before undertaking any activities at Melbourne Cable Park. You are responsible for ensuring you are fit enough to participate.

All guests at Melbourne Cable Park are required to sign a waiver. We require a parent or guardian (over 18) to sign for under 18s. Cable riders must also watch a safety video before using the cable for the first time.

We aim to have the park open as many days a year as possible. We will only close if the weather makes it dangerous to operate; for example: during very high winds or electrical storms. If we need to cancel our activities due to poor weather, we will be happy to re-book your tickets for another day. Please note that we do not offer refunds.

There is plenty of free parking at the park. Melbourne Cable Park does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to any vehicle in the car park.

There are toilets and change rooms located in three locations within the Park.
– Within the main visitors centre building
– At the Aqua Fun Park
– Adjacent to the Front Lake start doc

Lockers are located at Climb, Aqua & Main Ticket Office. All-day access – $9 

No dogs (except service dogs) are allowed to be brought into Melbourne Cable Park.

The minimum age to use the full-size cable is 10 years old. We run a Kids’ Club for kids aged 8 to 15 years old.

Yes, we cater for all levels of wakeboarder, from complete beginner to professional riders.

Yes, we can arrange one-to-one lessons and we run a range of group coaching sessions including: Chicks’ Clinic, Kids’ Club, Beginners’ Sessions and Accessible Wakeboarding. Please contact our team to arrange individual coaching.

Everyone riding the cable must wear a helmet and PFD 3 or better standard lifejacket. You can bring your own or rent them from us. These items are included in the cost of your ticket.

Yes, we have Rip Curl wetsuits – springers and steamers – in a range of kids’ and adult sizes.

Yes, but no fins or wax are permitted on the obstacles.

We have two lakes; two full-size cable lakes – one running clockwise (Main Lake) and the second running anti-clockwise (Front Lake).

Yes, we have toilets, change rooms, and outdoor showers.

Yes, but double skis only (no slalom).

AQUA FUN PARK

Booking for the Aqua Fun Park isn’t mandatory, but we do recommend that you book online to make sure you don’t miss out on the session time you need.

We will be happy to change the time of your Aqua Fun Park session up to 48 hours before your original session is due to start. Please note that we do not offer refunds.

We do not offer refunds. We will be happy to offer an alternative session time or issue a voucher to be used at a later date. We require 48 hours notice to change or cancel Aqua Fun Park tickets.

Each session runs for 50 minutes Sessions start every hour on the hour. Booking recommended.

Kids must be 6 years old to use the Aqua Fun Park. Kids aged 6 to 9 years inclusive (under 10s) must be accompanied on the inflatables by a paying adult (over 18). Maximum of 1 adult per 4 kids.

Children aged 15 years and over can use the park unaccompanied. Kids under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult (over 18). There is no charge for spectators coming to the park with paying guests.

Children who are 10 years old and over can go on the inflatables unaccompanied. Kids aged 6 – 9 years old inclusive (under 10s) must be accompanied on the inflatables by a paying adult (max: 1 adult per 4 kids).

Yes, the Aqua Fun Park is supervised by lifeguards. They start each session with a safety briefing. The lifeguards oversee general safety on and around the Aqua Fun Park. Parents are responsible for their children at all times and should continue to supervise them on the Aqua Fun Park.

Lifejackets are mandatory for everyone using the Aqua Fun Park. A rental lifejacket is included in the ticket price. We recommend that you also wear a rash vest for sun protection. No footwear of any kind is allowed on the inflatables.

You are welcome to bring a GoPro to the Aqua Fun Park but we recommend that you bring a floating case or wrist attachment. Melbourne Cable Park accepts no responsibility for lost items. If it falls off there is very little chance of it being recovered from the lake.

CABLE WAKEBOARDING

Cable wakeboarding allows you to wakeboard without a boat. Riders grab a handle attached to the overhead cable which pulls you round the lake.

There are now set sessions to book online. The cable runs non stop all day. Individual tickets are timed automatically when riders scan their ticket at the start dock. Just grab a ticket and take the next available spot when you’re ready to go.
