What are the park opening hours?
Aqua Fun Park
Open 7 days: 11am to 5pm.

Sessions start every hour on the hour; last session 4pm.

Ninja Aqua Park
Open 7 days: 11.30am to 4.30pm
Sessions start on the half hour and last for 1 hour. last session at 3.30pm

Cable wakeboarding
Sunday to Wednesday: 10am to 6pm.
Thursday to Saturday: 10am to 8pm

Climb Melbourne (urban high ropes)
Open 7 days: 10am to 5pm
Sessions start every 30 minutes and last for 1 hour. Last session, 4pm.

Our opening hours are subject to change at short notice.

What activities do you offer?
Cable wakeboarding, kneeboarding and waterskiing.
The Aqua Fun Park – giant inflatables course on the water.
Ninja Aqua Park – like the Aqua Fun Park but more challenging.
Climb Melbourne, an urban high-rope adventure.

How much does it cost?
Aqua Fun Park & Ninja Aqua Park – $25 per person per session
Cable wakeboarding – from $49 for 1 hour, including rental equipment.
Climb Melbourne – urban high ropes – $39 for 1 hour (adults). $34 for 1 hour (kids)
Kids’ Climb (age 5 to 10 years) – $29 for 1 hour.

Is there an entry fee for spectators?
There is no charge for spectators accompanying paying guests.
All guests will be required to sign a waiver on entry.

How do I book tickets?
Tickets can be bought online – booking recommended.
Gift vouchers are available online and at the park.

Do you offer group discounts? 
We cater for all kinds of groups and events. Please contact our friendly team for a quote for your event.

Do you hire out the park for private functions?
We can arrange private hire of one or more areas of the park. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Is there a minimum fitness level to take part in the activities? 
Everyone using the park is expected to be reasonably fit. You must be able to swim to take part in our water-based activities.

Can I take part if I have a medical condition or if I’m pregnant?
Pregnant women will not be permitted to take part in our activities. If you have a medical condition, please consult your doctor before undertaking any activities at Melbourne Cable Park. You are responsible for ensuring you are fit enough to participate.

Do I need to sign a waiver?
All guests at Melbourne Cable Park are required to sign a waiver. We require a parent or guardian (over 18) to sign for under 18s. Cable riders must also watch a safety video before using the cable for the first time.

What is your bad weather policy?
We aim to have the park open 364 days a year. We will only close if the weather makes it dangerous to operate; for example: during very high winds or electrical storms. If we need to cancel our activities due to poor weather, we will be happy to re-book your tickets for another day. Please note that we do not offer refunds.

Is there parking?
There is plenty of free parking at the park.
Melbourne Cable Park does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to any vehicle in the car park.

Are there toilets and change rooms?
We currently have temporary toilets.
Permanent facilities, including change rooms are planned.

Is there somewhere to store my belongings?
There are temporary lockers. Please bring your own padlock.

Is there a cafe?
We have a small cafe by the main cable wakeboarding lake. It sells hot and cold drinks, hot chips, ice creams and a small selection of sandwiches, pies, sausage rolls and ice creams.
We are planning more cafe facilities for the future.

Can I bring my own food to the park?
Of course! But no alcohol or glassware is permitted.

Do you have BBQs?
BBQs will be installed in the future.

Can I bring my dog to the park?
No dogs (except service dogs) are allowed to be brought into Melbourne Cable Park.

Cable Wakeboarding

What is cable wakeboarding?
Cable wakeboarding allows you to wakeboard without a boat. Riders grab a handle attached to the overhead cable which pulls you round the lake.

What are the opening times for cable wakeboarding?
Monday to Wednesday – 10am to 6pm
Thursday to Saturday – 10am to 8pm

What are the session times for cable wakeboarding?
There are no set session times. The cable runs non stop all day. Individual tickets are timed automatically when riders scan their ticket at the start dock. Just grab a ticket and take the next available spot when you’re ready to go.

What are the Cable ticket prices?
Ticket prices start from $49 for 1 hour on the Cable. Please visit our Pricing & Tickets page for all ticket information.

How do I book tickets for the Cable?
You can buy tickets online or at the park. 

Do you sell memberships?
We have a range of membership options. Please visit our membership page for details.

Is there a minimum age to ride the cable?
The minimum age to use the full-size cable is 10 years old.
We run a weekend Kids’ Club for kids aged 8 to 15 years old.

Do you cater for beginners?
Yes, we cater for all levels of wakeboarder, from complete beginner to professional riders.

Do you offer wakeboarding lessons?
Yes, we can arrange group and one-to-one lessons. Please contact our friendly team to arrange coaching.

We also run a Chicks’ Clinic. Suitable for all levels and all ages (from 8 years old). $59 per person. All coaching and equipment included.

Do you run lessons for kids?
We currently run our Kids’ Club on Saturday mornings. The session runs from 8.30 to 10am. $39 per child. Suitable for 8 to 15-year-olds. All coaching and equipment included.
Please note Saturday Kids’ Club is taking a break in January 2018 – back in February.

What do I need to wear?
Everyone riding the cable must wear a helmet and PFD 3 or better standard lifejacket. You can bring your own or rent them from us. These items are included in the cost of your ticket.

Do you hire wetsuits?
Yes, we have Rip Curl wetsuits – springers and steamers – in a range of kids’ and adult sizes. $10 per person per session.

Can I bring my own wakeboard?
Yes, but no fins or wax are permitted on the obstacles.

How many lakes are there?
We have two lakes; two full-size cable lakes – one running clockwise (Main Lake) and the second running anti-clockwise (Front Lake).

Which direction is the cable spinning in?
On the Main Lake it runs clockwise and anti-clockwise on the Front Lake.

Do you have changing facilities?
For the time being, we have a shelter and toilets on site. There are public changing rooms and showers across the road in the National Water Sports Centre.

Can I water ski at the cable park?
Yes, but double skis only (no slalom).

Aqua Fun Park

What are the Aqua Fun Park opening hours?
Open 7 days – 11am to 5pm

Sessions start every hour on the hour, last session 4pm.

How much do Aqua Fun Park tickets cost?
Single session – $25
Family of 4 – $90
Extra sessions purchased on the same day – $20 each
Group rates are available, please contact us for details.

Do I need to book in advance? 
Booking for the Aqua Fun Park isn’t mandatory, but we do recommend that you book online to make sure you don’t miss out on the session time you need.

Can I change my booking?
We will be happy to change the time of your Aqua Fun Park session up to 24 hours before your original session is due to start. Please note that we do not offer refunds.

Can I get a refund if I cancel my Aqua Fun Park session?
We do not offer refunds. We will be happy offer an alternative session time or issue a voucher to be used at a later date. We require 24 hours notice to change or cancel Aqua Fun Park tickets.

How long does an Aqua Fun Park session last? 
Each session runs for 50 minutes

Is there a minimum age for the Aqua Fun Park?
Kids must be 5 years old to use the Aqua Fun Park.
Kids aged 5 to 9 years inclusive (under 10s) must be accompanied on the inflatables by a paying adult (over 18). Maximum of 1 adult per 6 kids.

Can I drop off my kids and collect them after their Aqua Fun Park session?
Children aged 15 years and over can use the park unaccompanied. Kids under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult (over 18). There is no charge for spectators coming to the park with paying guests.

Can I watch from the side while my kids play on the inflatables?
Children who are 10 years old and over can go on the inflatables unaccompanied. Kids aged 5 – 9 years old inclusive (under 10s) must be accompanied on the inflatables by a paying adult (max: 1 adult per 6 kids).

Are there lifeguards?
Yes, the Aqua Fun Park is supervised by lifeguards. They start each session with a safety briefing. The lifeguards oversee general safety on and around the Aqua Fun Park. Parents are responsible for their children at all times and should continue to supervise them on the Aqua Fun Park.

What should I wear?
Lifejackets are mandatory for everyone using the Aqua Fun Park. A rental lifejacket is included in the ticket price. We recommend that you also wear a rash vest for sun protection. No footwear of any kind is allowed on the inflatables.

Can I bring my GoPro to the Aqua Fun Park?
You are welcome to bring a GoPro to the Aqua Fun Park but we recommend that you bring a floating case or wrist attachment. Melbourne Cable Park accepts no responsibility for lost items. If it falls off there is very little chance of it being recovered from the lake.
